The Stoeger STR-9 is a duty-size striker-fired 9mm pistol with a 4-inch barrel. It is built on a polymer frame with a matte finish, carries three-dot sights, and has an accessory rail under the dust cover for a light or laser. One magazine comes with it. The product photo is a stock image, so the pistol you receive is the one described here rather than the exact example pictured.

In New Jersey a full-size 9mm like this fits home defense and regular range practice. The 4-inch barrel gives a usable sight radius for the three-dot sights, and the rail means a weapon light can stay mounted at home. The simple striker-fired controls suit a shooter who is new to handguns after completing the approved safety course the state has required of permit applicants since July 2022.
