A 1953 Winchester Model 12 Heavy Duck, serial 1399112: a 12 gauge pump-action takedown shotgun with a 30-inch round barrel marked for Super Speed and Super X 3-inch shells and a fixed Full choke. Metal is blued and the furniture is walnut, with a 13.75-inch length of pull to the original Winchester pad. The wood shows handling marks and light finish loss with no cracks, the metal shows edge wear with most of the original bluing remaining, and the bore is excellent.

The Heavy Duck name and the 3-inch marking point to waterfowl, and that is still where a 30-inch Full-choked pump makes the most sense for a New Jersey owner, with the deer woods a second option: a 12 gauge pump is within the 20 to 10 gauge range the state allows with slugs or buckshot, held to three shells, during the six-day firearm season of December 7 to 12, 2026. Weigh the fixed Full choke and short length of pull before you commit.
