Weatherby's Mark V in .270 Weatherby Magnum, a modern-production bolt action with a 26-inch round barrel and a Leupold Rifleman 3-9x50 scope already mounted, serial number SB026126. Metal is blued, the stock is black checkered synthetic, and the factory Weatherby recoil pad is still in place. As a used rifle it shows scuffs and handling marks on both stock and metal, but the action runs smoothly and the bore is rated excellent.

New Jersey does not allow rifles for deer, so a flat-shooting magnum like this is bought here for out-of-state trips or for long-range work at a club that has the distance. The 26-inch barrel gets the most out of the Weatherby case, and the 50mm objective on the Leupold gathers light at the edges of the day.
