A Winchester Model 1892 rifle in .25-20, serial 629702, made in 1911. This one left the factory as a special order with a half-length magazine and a 20-inch barrel, and it carries a side-mounted sight. The original blue on both the frame and barrel is very fine, and the wood is very good.

For a New Jersey buyer this is a collector's rifle. Rifles are not legal for deer in the state, so its place is in a collection or on the range at a club that allows it. What sets this one apart is the combination of a special-order feature, the half magazine, with original finish that has survived more than a century on both the frame and the barrel. Handle it as that condition deserves, and keep the side sight as it came.
