This Belgian-made Browning SA-22 is a Grade 3 example with a receiver hand engraved by Didier Dessart in a coin finish, serial 1061996ARI. It is the classic semi-automatic takedown rimfire in .22 LR with a 19-inch high-polish blued barrel and a gloss-finished stock of highly figured, checkered Turkish walnut. Condition is very good with light handling marks, and the bore is excellent.

In New Jersey a rifle like this lives at the range and in the cabinet rather than in the deer woods, and that suits it. The takedown design breaks the gun into two short pieces for a case, the .22 LR chambering keeps recoil and noise low for plinking and small-bore paper at a club, and the Dessart engraving with the figured walnut makes it the sort of Browning that gets passed down. Light handling marks are the only thing separating it from new.
