Springfield Armory developed the RDP (Rapid Defense Package) to bridge the gap between compact carry pistols and full-size service handguns. The pistol features a 3-inch barrel, a 11+1 or 13+1 magazine capacity using the included flush-fit and extended magazines, and a textured grip module that provides positive control during rapid fire. The slide is optics-ready with a low-profile cowitness sight system, ensuring backup iron sight availability if the red dot fails.
