Description
The Savage Arms Predator Hunter is a purpose-built bolt-action rifle designed for varmint and predator hunters who demand accuracy and reliability in the field. Chambered in popular calibers, it features a factory-installed muzzle brake to manage recoil and a synthetic stock with an adjustable comb for a consistent cheek weld. Since we added it to our inventory in spring 2025, it has consistently proven to be a popular and reliable choice for our customers.
Why This One?
- AccuFit System: The stock features user-adjustable length of pull and comb height, allowing you to tailor the fit for optimal comfort and sight alignment without custom gunsmithing.
- AccuTrigger: Savage’s user-adjustable trigger provides a crisp, clean break that can be set between 2.5 and 6 pounds, a key component for precision shooting.
- Factory Muzzle Brake: Comes threaded and equipped with a muzzle brake to significantly reduce felt recoil and muzzle jump, keeping you on target for faster follow-up shots.
- Reliable Feeding: In our hands-on testing, the action fed both brass and steel-cased ammunition reliably, a practical benefit for mixed training and hunting use.
- Drilled and Tapped Receiver: Ready for scope mounting right out of the box, simplifying your setup process.

Q & A
Is the muzzle brake removable?
Yes. The barrel is threaded, and the factory-installed muzzle brake can be removed if you wish to install a different muzzle device or a suppressor (where legal). Always ensure proper alignment and torque if changing devices.
What scope bases does it use?
The receiver is drilled and tapped for Savage short-action scope bases. We recommend using quality, matched two-piece bases or a one-piece rail designed for the Savage short-action pattern for secure mounting.
Is the stock truly weather-resistant?
The synthetic stock is designed to withstand the elements far better than traditional wood, resisting moisture warp and temperature-induced changes that can affect point of impact. It’s a practical choice for all-weather hunting conditions.
